We discussed the project, our task and how we interpreted the instructions. We also discussed in depth the six different travelling options and tried to find areas to improve from each of the options, using our own experiences. In conclusion we had time to discuss the first four options:
1) Ferry
Travel time: 8-10 minutes
Target group: Tourists and families with childs
Areas of improvement: Information, nothing to do while travelling
Ideas: Displays with information, virtual reality/augmented reality
2) Commuter rail:
Travel time: 3 minutes
Target group: ?
Areas of improvement: Making sure everyone has a access card, faster boarding process
Ideas: Augmented/virtual reality, face recognition, phone recognition
3) Light rail:
Ideas: Nothing
4) Bus:
Ideas: App for telling when you have arrived at your destination
At the near end of our session we realized that we might have discussed too deep and needed to focus on deciding traveling option and target group first before trying to find improvement ideas. We also shifted our focus to the options 1,4 and 6 because of lack of intrests in the other options.
